Below are two studies of the same pose with a slight break inbetween. I wanted to see what differences would arise. Each took approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

Crosshatched Eye Studies

The other half of the crosshatching study I had to do.

Overall I am really proud of what I was able to crank out here. Especially given I had never seriously tried to crosshatch before. I am honestly surprised how far I've come in the past few months, and even more so over the past couple of years. Amazing what consistent hard work can do, isn't it?

Crosshatching Study of Lips and Nose

Some expression studies of the lips and nose for one of my classes.

I'm really excited about the work I've been doing so far this semester. Once I have some more finished and scanned it'll be up here, along with some of the sketches and illustrations I did over break.
