Shiny New Things

I remember the first time I sat down in front of a 3D Modelling program when I was a sophomore in high school. It was an amazing time, especially given the program was ZBrush, but as time went on I never modeled for fun or anything other then technical renders for the longest time. Now, I am actually iterating things out all the time.

I have many more things modeled out than just these two, but they are for another time. The top image is the extremely rough version of a fuselage, while the bottom is an almost finished engine, at least to the extend of modelling. I need to do the mapping for the engine, but I feel like it's coming along nicely.

More Ships.

Some more ship sketches from the past week or so.

I have actually been thinking about how many of these I do on a weekly basis, and why I do. I've noticed how every artist I know personally has one type of thing that they draw when they are tired, exhausted, frustrated, etc. Some people draw cakes or cats, or cats in cakes; others draw computers. I design spaceships.

Sketchbook pages

Just a couple pages of my sketchbook I thought I'd share.

Planes Oh My!

Just some random sketches I happened to have of planes and spaceships and such!

I like the second one more than the first. It might have to do with the fact that there are less perspective problems with that one. Yeah. That's it.
